The first thing I check upon entering a grocery store is cleanliness. That is what you'll notice at this store. Displays are neat, and well stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful. One of my favorite stores in the Valley.

Love going to this grocery location. They have a huuuuuuge selection of food. A better variety then even the giant eagle which is twice the size of this store. What’s awesome too is the workers here from the deli to the stockers, to the cashiers are super friendly!

We were very impressed. The store was well stocked and clean. The produce and meat departments are first rate. We will definitely shop there again. Check out was fast and friendly.

They are constantly restocking. Lots of items that other stores don't have. The renovated deli area is great. Good quality fresh meat and poultry. They also have plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

The staff is helpful, kind and respectfully friendly. I enjoy dropping in to pick up a few things. The place has recently had some upgrades, which is nice. Their selections are improving, thou I do hope they start getting more keto friendly stuff. Such as ghee butter, or keto ice cream. Other than that it's a wonderful place to shop and I really enjoy going there.

Even though I don't live in Monessen, this is my favorite grocery store. I am disabled, the parking lot is flat, which helps a lot. They have a little bit of everything in the store and it's small enough for me to navigate. Their hot deli food is good, best fried chicken in the valley. Their cold deli meats, cheeses and sides are great, always fresh. Good prices on uncooked meat. The only thing that needs a little help is the green grocer section. If you buy lettuce, cabbage, spinach, look it over good, sometimes it is not so fresh. Also check bagged salads for expiration dates. The employees are friendly and accommodating, I enjoy talking with them as most have a very nice attitude. I was sorry to see the self checkouts in there. Those used to be someone's job. I do like the store and will continue to shop there often as long as a person is at the register.

Foodland is everything what a grocery store should be and by far an improved shopping experience over Walmart. Reasonable parking for a reasonable sized neighborhood grocery store. Nothing overwhelming. Inside was well stocked, neat, clean and well organized. My interactions with staff was minimal however the woman in the meat department was friendly, enthusiastic and informative, as were the front end staff who were also friendly and cheerful. FIVE stars across the board.
